Designed by architecture firm Foster and Partners, Fortaleza Hall has been built on the Frank Lloyd Wright campus as the new space provides a permanent home for the historic replica aircraft and regales the story of its flight to visitors and passers-by. Located in Wisconsinas, United States, the architecture design also involved the construction of a Community Building, with a range of staff facilities including restaurants, shops and a gymnasium. Collaboration between Ehrlich Architects and HDR Architecture. Inc, the School of Journalism at Arizona State University that called ASU Walter Cronkite School of Journalism & Mass Communication is located in downtown Phoenix, United States. Ground floor retail spaces and ample shaded arcades foster outdoor seating and café life while the main entrance is under a three-storey high ‘front porch’ facing a green civic space, cultivating a sense of community connectivity. In addition, many of the School of Journalism’s functions on upper levels are orientated toward and have open terraces overlooking Central Avenue, allowing the students and faculty to consistently be part of the bustle of downtown. Designed by Duran & Hermida Arquitectos, the Edificio Jacobo is located in Cuenca at 2500m over the sea level, the third biggest city in Ecuador, where the sun comes down perpendicularly, with 23 degrees of variation in the equinoxes of June and December. Cuenca is located in the Andes, where the average temperature is15 degree Celsius during the day, but it drops considerably at night. The building has one apartment per floor, with the exception of the third floor where the space is divided between a small apartment and an office. The ground floor is occupied by the garages in the front, and an apartment at the back which gets light and sun from a courtyard facing east. Read more »

This modern architecture design, the Great America Place was designed by Kevin Hart Architecture in Santa Clara, CA, United States is light industrial box repurposed for high-tech office work. Tilt-up concrete boxes of one or two stories are common in Silicon Valley. Most were built for light industrial use, with a few windows for perimeter offices, and large dark interior spaces for assembly. Many are also obsolete, due to the region’s evolution from hardware to software, and the need for comfortably daylit collaborative spaces for knowledge workers. Read more »
