This flagship boutique in United States was designed by Sybarite UK Ltd captures the mood of Miami’s Design District. Circular forms repeat throughout, particularly in the treatment of the walls which are covered in a graduated pattern of circles in ‘haute relief’, slightly raised from the background, echoing the textured, Art Deco render of the local buildings. The “Observatory” concept store, 9 Solonos street was designed by BOBOTIS Architects to house a unified commercial “lifestyle” activity of different fashion brands. Observatory concept store in Kolonaki is located in Athens, Greece. Floor-by-floor arrangement of the different sectors is supported by stairways, both rolling and conventional, and semi transparent elevators. This way, the transition from floor to floor extends beyond the simple vertical traffic function and becomes a “route” with different images and depictions. That was also one of the main design axes, aiming at the transformation of the commercial transaction to a recreational experience by means of traffic through the building. Read more »

The latest from Geotectura and Malka Architects is a concept for Delft University’s Architecture Faculty- a flying structure called AIRchitecture that’s already making our heads spin. The campus building concepts combines a static learning center for libraries, offices, lecture halls, and an auditorium, with flying workspaces and off-site “zeppelins” to allow for more dynamic collaboration and exchange. Automotive Centre of Excellence, Kangan Batman TAFE, by Lyons in Australia architecture design

The Automotive Centre of Excellence (ACE) was designed by Architect Lyons and located in Melbourne’s Docklands accommodates a dedicated training and showcase facility for Australia’s Victorian automotive trades and manufacturing. Stage One Automotive Centre of Excellence consists of approximately 2,500sqm of high-bay workshop space and 2,500sqm for specialist workrooms, classrooms and office accommodation. The building absorbs sources from automotive culture, and its relationships with the city; kerb signs, tyre treads, city overpasses, and the sheen of car showrooms. The interiors evoke something of the automotive predilection for contrasting the technological and mechanical with the finished and the smooth. Read more »

Designed by Kieran Timberlake Architects, Loblolly house that located on a barrier island off the coast of Maryland, in United States, is a prefabricated house that proposes a more efficient method of assembly. The Loblolly House seeks to fuse the natural elements of the site to architectural form. Timber foundations minimize the house’s footprint and provide savannah-like views of the trees and the bay, and the staggered boards of the east façade evoke the solids and voids of the forest.
