The Yas Hotel in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates that designed by New York based practice architect Asymptote Architecture is one of the main architectural features of the ambitious Yas Marina development and so central to the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, which is also near completion. The Yas Hotel features a fluid skin of diamond-shaped glass panels which was influenced and inspired by speed, movement and Islamic artistry. Frank Lloyd Wright meets modern day prefab in the stunning Mod.Fab home, developed by students at Taliesin West in collaboration with their Dean Victor Sidy and Jennifer Siegal. The goal of the collaboration was to build a prototype prefab conducive to elegant and sustainable living within the heart of the desert landscape.
