K House is located in Bellarine Peninsula, Regional Melbourne, Australia. Designed by Ashton Raggatt McDougall for the Client which want to environmentally friendly holiday house to retire in the future. This is a ship lap weather board house in the tradition of the seaside shack. It has bold and legible forms and an easy live ability that belies its extreme derivation in the shape of that K.

As a plan the house is simple with the ground floor cut into the sloping site and entered directly off the car park with mudroom and storage, two bedrooms, bathrooms and home cinema, then up to the long Living, Dining and Kitchen, all facing north and open each end, east to the sea and west to the garden. As viewed from the various openings in the house and tea pavilions, every square inch in the gardens is a study of the interplay of plants, rock, and water, an interplay that changes through the cycle of the seasons.

This building name is Nurimaru (APEC House).

Buildings have been built of a very wide range of materials, the most common being timber, baked and unbaked clay, stone, slate, reeds, grass or straw, glass, concrete, iron and steel. But that all derestricting us to use something new. This art instalation is called “House of Books” and it is set in Calouste Gulbenkian´s Foundation in Lisbon, Portugal!
One can actually step inside and take a look at the infinite world of books!

For you didn’t know, history of RR Blacker House -1907, one of G&G’s masterpeice homes. It has a bit of a history of having been gutted by subsequent owners. The current owners have done wham barb job though of restoring the house. About 60% of the house can be seen from the streets. You’ll still need a long lens though. And come either in winter, summer or near the end of the day if you plan to photograph it.
